Wes Ward Auto Repair has been a contributing community member providing quality auto repair services in the Northeast Kingdom since 1981. Wes started his business at Bedard’s Service Center on Portland Street and later moved the business to his home in Danville to be closer to his children while they were in school.

In 1999, Wes took advantage of the opportunity to relocate Wes Ward Auto Repair to its current location on Portland Street. Wes Ward Auto Repair provides quality passenger vehicle and light truck repairs and preventive maintenance services from Monday through Friday each week for area residents. 

Wes Ward Auto Repair is a proud member of the Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau, and has earned the distinction of becoming AAA approved auto repair facility in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2009.  These affiliations and achievements clearly illustrate Wes’ commitment to building strong customer relationships.

Wes Ward Auto Repair makes the following commitment to all of its customers:

WHAT IS A.S.E. CERTIFICATION?

Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.) is a specialized testing program designed to test the skill levels of automotive technicians.  Certifications are awarded only to individuals who successfully pass tests administered by an independent testing entity. Certifications can be earned in specific areas of interest, but A.S.E. certified Master Technicians  have succeeded in completing the full range of tests offered under the program.

We test drive vehicles to ensure that we fully understand any potential problems your vehicle may be experiencing.  At Wes Ward Auto Repair, test driving your vehicle, before and after maintenance or repairs, is an important part of our quality assurance programs.

The Importance of Implementing a Preventive Maintenance Program for Your Vehicles

Preventive Maintenance is an area of emphasis for Wes Ward Auto Repair. Implementation of a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance program for your vehicles will significantly increase the longevity and the value of your investment.  At Wes Ward Auto Repair, we highly recommend that the following items be part of your scheduled Preventive Maintenance program.

  • Oil Change - Conventional change every 3,000 miles, synthetic oil every 5,000 miles.
  • Engine Tune-up - A fouled spark plug or plugged/restricted fuel injector can reduce fuel efficiency by as much as 30 percent.
  • Fuel Filter Change - Every 10,000 miles to prevent rust, dirt, and other impurities from entering the fuel system.
  • Transmission Fluid and Filter Change - For most vehicles,  every 25,000 to 30,000 miles to protect the precision-crafted components of the transmission/transaxle fluid. Check your owner's manual for the recommended interval for your vehicle.
  • Lubricate the Chassis frequently to extend the life of the moving components of the suspension system.
  • Four-Wheel Alignment - Designed to extend the life of the vehicle’s tires and to increase fuel efficiency. 
  • Tires - Tires should be rotated every 6,000 miles (every other oil change) to lengthen the life of  your tires and maintain fuel efficiency.

Wes Ward Auto Repair has a clean, comfortable lobby for customers who want to wait for their vehicle.  Arrangements can also be made to drop you off when you bring your vehicle in and to pick you up when your vehicle is ready.
