Date: Wednesday, December 11, 2019
Time: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This course will teach you about Vermont's Essential Maintenance Practices (EMP) law and how to work safely with lead.

EMPs are relatively inexpensive maintenance activities to reduce lead-based paint hazards and inspect the property for deteriorated (chipping and peeling) lead-based paint. They must be done on all rental housing and child care facilities built before 1978.

Completing this course allows you to become EMP-certified under the law so you can perform this work. It will also allow you to file yearly EMP statements on any work performed, also required by law.  This is a 4-hour course, including the exam. The EMP certificate will be mailed to those who pass the exam and pay the $10 training fee.  Register here: https://stj_emp_class.eventbrite.com
