Walk Cycle Jam

Join students and Professors from the VTSU Animation program for a fun afternoon of creating and animating. Students will create original paper puppets, and learn how to make them walk against a scrolling background.
No animation experience necessary. Open to ages 8 – 18.

Lunenburg 17th Maple Festival

Full day of celebrating the maple sugaring heritage in Lunenburg! Free and affordable maple activities for all ages.
Join our town's maple sugaring heritage celebration in a full day of free and affordable family fun - immersion in everything maple! Pancake breakfast 8 -10:30. Interactive, static, and photographic displays, antique sugaring equipment, raffles, door prize drawings, display of student poster contest entries, maple quilt square contest and quilt raffle, maple cotton candy and bake sale throughout the day. Student boiling demo on their grant-awarded evaporator and narrated sugaring presentation 10 - 1. Maple pie baking contest judging begins at 10:30, with pie sales immediately after winners are announced. Experience the diverse sugaring operations in Lunenburg during the local sugarhouse tours 10 - 3. Learn about backyard sugaring at the student-led tree tapping demonstration at 10:30. Enjoy homemade soups and bread lunch from noon - 2. Maple theme and Lunenburg gift items available for purchase, including A Wicked Good Run and Lunenburg T-shirts.

Vermont Animation Festival

Expected issues to be discussed include health care, labor issues, permitting concerns, housing economic and workforce development issues, taxes and fiscal policies.
The event is sponsored by the Passumpic Savings Bank, Northeast Kingdom Human Services and the Green Mountain Association of Realtors.
There is a small fee to attend and to cover the room and breakfast fee.

Staged Reading: Murder by the Book

This comedy play will be read by local performers, and is directed by Damien Ryan.
The town of Two Spruce is about to lose their beloved library. A team of volunteer actors come to its financial rescue by staging a murder mystery. But on opening night a real murder most foul threatens to thwart their theatrical aspirations. Lucy the Librarian and a team of quirky volunteer actors scramble to solve the crime before the curtain rises and the library is lost forever.
