Free public transportation, serving Caledonia, Essex, Orleans and Lamoille counties.
Both the "Jay-Lyn" and the "Highlander " bus routes are Deviated routes. Deviations from the routes are available up to a distance of 1/4 mile along the route upon request. To make a request for deviation simply call your local RCT Office at least one business day in advance. Calls can be made Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm except holidays.
**When traveling with children, Infant/Toddler seats are required, booster seats are requested.**
Jay-Lyn Bus Shuttle: Makes five round trips daily, Monday through Friday. The shuttle travels from St. Johnsbury to Lyndonville, including stops at Human Services, Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, Norris Cotton Cancer Center, doctor's offices, Lyndon State College, housing complexes and grocery stores.
The Highlander Bus Shuttle: Makes four round trips daily, Monday through Friday, and two round trips on Saturdays. The shuttle travels from Newport through Derby to Derby Line. Stops include North Country Hospital, Human Services, IROC Fitness Center, public housing areas and grocery stores. The shuttle also goes past the local High School.
Other services include coordinated transportation for elderly, disabled and medical needs.
