My grandparents had a profound influence on me. Humble and hard-working, they didn't want for what they didn't have; rather, they were grateful for what they had and were quick to lend a helping hand.

One grandfather was a banker who would sit me on his lap as a boy and advise me to "Save, Invest and Diversify." It seems comical today, since I didn't know what he was talking about then, but he planted a seed in me that grew into a lifelong interest in economics and financial markets. My other grandfather said to me, "You're a teacher. You should teach." Their influence inspires me every day to help clients reach their financial goals and provide them with education about what we do and how we do it.

Betty Ann and I have two boys, Cam and Ty. I am, if nothing else, a family guy. We are one of those hockey families you read about, as our now teenage boys have competed all over the world and Betty Ann and I love chasing them around the globe to watch them play the game they love.

In town, I am best known as "Coach." When the boys were younger, I was very active coaching sports, especially hockey. Grateful to live in Vermont, we spend considerable time outdoors, skiing, hiking, mountain biking and maintaining the trails we've built in our woods.
