Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium

St. Johnsbury, VT

The Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium is much more than Northern New England’s museum of natural history — it is a place to marvel at the wonders of our world. Perfect for families and visitors of all ages, the Fairbanks Museum invites you to explore your universe.

You'll find an amazing assortment of objects on display from an eclectic permanent collection that started as a Victorian "cabinet of curiosities." Our galleries are full of fascinating artifacts, including natural science specimens, historical objects, and treasures from around the world. Our Lyman Spitzer Jr. Planetarium is the only public planetarium in Vermont -- take a tour of the cosmos during one of our daily presentations. The Fairbanks Museum is also the home of the popular "The Eye on the Sky" weather broadcasts.

We are open daily, 10:00A.M. to 5:00P.M.
