Smithsonian Magazine's Welcome to the Museum Day - MUSEUM CLOSED

Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. The Museum Day ticket provides free admission for two people.

St. Johnsbury Puts the "A" in Stem - CANCELLED

Join us to celebrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) in our community. Catamount Arts and the Fairbanks Museum in collaboration with St. Johnsbury Academy, St. Johnsbury School, and the Athenaeum presents - St. Johnsbury puts the “A” in STEM - “Open Community, Open House."

 



This event is open to all community members old and young, inexperienced and/or professional. The premise is how STEM inspires art or vice versa.  The evening will be "fair" style. Community members will have their own space at a table. They can have their own slide shows, demonstrations, art displayed, and they will represent themselves at the event. We will have two featured STEAM speakers present during the evening.   Free admission.

Tanglewood Marionettes - TEMPORARY CLOSURE

Founded in 1993, Tanglewood Marionettes is a nationally touring marionette theater based in New England. Large, beautifully hand-crafted marionettes, colorful sets, and integrated lighting and sound create a fully immersive theatrical experience. Our highly skilled puppeteers have spent many years perfecting their art, delighting audiences of all ages as they bring our repertoire of classic tales to life. We are the recipients of two UNIMA awards, puppetry's highest honor, for our productions An Arabian Adventure and The Dragon King.

St. Johnsbury World Maple Festival

An event celebrating the history and heritage of the Maple Syrup Industry and St. Johnsbury's status as the Maple Center of the World.



5K run and/or pancake breakfast at the Welcome Center.  The Street Festival will be on Saturday from 10am-3pm.  Entertaiment will be provided all day long and the streets will be lined with over 60 craft and food vendors.  Festival admission is free.
