Modern Traditions in Hunting & Angling: Bucks that Got Away

Date: Saturday, September 29, 2018
Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for this workshop, led by author Matt Breton, on tips for success for the thoughtful hunter.

With knowledge acquired during more than a decade of tracking deer, Matt shares his hunting stories to elevate the tracking experience for hunters of all levels. This workshop will highlight some lessons from Matt's book: Bucks that Got Away: From Failure to Success in the Art of Tracking. There will be both an indoor and outdoor component with tips on preparation, gear and shooting. Understanding that the story unfolding in the snow is the real trophy from the hunt, Matt hopes you'll embrace the challenge and adventure that this style of hunting offers. In a world of participation trophies, treestands and immediate gratification, we can all benefit from following deer tracks down a path less traveled. Co-hosted by NorthWoods Stewardship Center and the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Conservation Group.

Coffee & Tea provided.
