The Northeast Kingdom is the home of Jay Peak Resort, Burke Mountain Resort, Kingdom Trails, the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, Catamount Arts, St. Johnsbury Athenaeum & Art Gallery, the Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium, the Old Stone House Museum, Maple Grove Farms of Vermont, the Stephen Huneck Gallery at Dog Mountain, the Great Vermont Corn Maze and so much more. The region is also home to Northern Vermont University-Lyndon Campus, Springfield College-St. Johnsbury Campus, the Community College of Vermont and many other stellar educational institutions.
The Northeast Kingdom also includes 55 towns and gores, with a combined regional population of 64,043. We have included community profiles here to give you a sense of the towns and gores within the Kingdom. Whenever possible, we have linked the profile to the specific town web site. When that is not possible, we have linked these communities to a wonderful regional resource, the Kingdom Guide.
